MATH
We will be working on the first 4 lessons of chapter four. Students will learn what an expression and an equation are in algebra and will be learning to write expression and equations for story problems. Problem-solving is a very important skill. We have talked about the problem-solving steps:
1–Understand the problem
2–Plan how you will solve it
3–Solve it
4–Check it
Students should be using these steps when working on story problems.

We are learning the Latin and Greek roots for numbers that are the origins of several of our English words. The vocab will include:
